Grow Big Muscles

Growing bigger muscles involves 3 main components:

  1. Your diet -- You must eat adequate amounts of protein and carbohydrates over the course of a day to provide optimal nutrition to your muscles.
  2. Your workouts -- To get your muscles to grow once your diet is nutritionally sound, you must get your body to go through an adaptive response -- that is, you must work out to the point your body is forced to adapt by growing larger muscles to handle the load you are giving it.  This is done by working muscles to the point of failure where you are physically unable to lift further weights.
  3. Genetics -- Sadly, there is a certain genetic limitation as to how large our muscles can naturally get that is an individual trait.  Most people never reach this limit however.
